medac @ BAD 2017 - lunch time symposium

medac will be holding a lunch time symposium at the British Association of Dermatology Annual Conference in Liverpool this July featuring speakers from both the UK and Germany.

The symposium will cover the recently updated BAD guidelines on methotrexate (Dr Richard Warren, Manchester) and will also discuss the results of the recently published METOP study into subcutaneous methotrexate.

Dr Kristian Reich (Hamburg) will then present clinical data of the METOP trial - a European 52-week phase III trial in the second part of the symposium. 120 patients were randomized and received weekly subcutaneous injections of either MTX or placebo. The primary endpoint was the proportion of patients achieving PASI75. The study presented a favourable benefit-risk profile of SC MTX in psoriasis patients and indicates the mechanisms how MTX exerts its effect on central psoriasis inflammatory pathways.

The symposium is at 1pm on Wednesday 5th of July in Hall 3B.
